  • All the latest news from FRECA: Freddie Slater, James Wharton and Rafael Camara.

If you're a FRECA fan like me, I bet you're dying to know who the drivers will be next year. For now, I can't say much. But I'll make sure to talk about the freshly announced news. (Freddie Slater fans: get ready!) We'll also be talking about other things such as the constructor's championship, so make sure to keep reading this article! So, let's start off by talking about the last races and what happened in the last period of FRECA's 2024 season. We got Prema winning the constructor's championship, alongside their driver Rafael Camara who won the driver's championship. Then we got James Wharton on pole position and winning both race 1 and 2 in Barcelona on the 29th of september. He has been doing really well lately, but we don't know if we'll see him in FRECA next year, since he recently stepped up to FIA F3 championsip. But what about the expected news? Well, today, on the 18th of october 2024, Prema announced something really big. FREDDIE SLATER: Confirmed to be racing for Prema in FRECA for the 2025 season! The british 16 year old boy (Italian F4 2024's champion) steps up to Formula Regional, after winning 13 races in italian F4 to be crowned champion. “I’m just super super happy to stay with PREMA for another year. My journey just started but hopefully this means many more years to come with this great team. Massive thanks to Angelo and Rene for placing their trust in me to do the job and for giving me another opportunity to go for some more race wins and hopefully, more championships. Can’t wait to get working!” - Freddie Slater We don't really know anything else about next year's drivers lineup, but I'm sure that FRECA's official profile will give us great news soon. Personally, I'm very excited about Freddie getting into FRECA and I hope he does well. I've known him for quite a lot now and I won't ever stop supporting him. As always, thank you for reading this article and make sure to follow me on instagram! (@aleinsidef1)

  • Special limited edition livery for Austin's Grand Prix: which teams modified their cars for this occasion?

F1 teams are well-known for making special liveries of their cars during GP's. This year, three teams decided to modify their cars for the upcoming race weekend in Austin. And, who knows, we could see some more! Look at the picture I put up here: the brand new McLaren livery . McLaren was the third team to announce a special livery fot his year's COTA (Circuit Of The Americas) GP. In collaboration with their team partner Google, McLaren redisigned their Chrome inspired livery, which was first reimagined at Silverstone in 2023. There will also be Chrome details on the drivers' racing suits. So, not only is McLaren leading the constructor's championship, but they're also turning into great designers and marketing strategists. But let's take a look at the other two liveries. Haas MoneyGram's livery is the next we're going to talk about. They kept their original colours, adding some blue details and black and white stars (a hint to the USA flag). They also added a stunning eagle , making this whole livery even more interesting. We couldn't expect less, since it's their home Grand Prix! This will be the second of three home races for the team in the 2024 season. The tyres also look incredible, with their red details! But let's move onto the last livery, one I'm very excited about since it's a very special partnership. Alpine this year created one of the most beautiful liveries I have ever seen. Thanks to their collaboration with Xbox (the gaming console) and the new Indiana Jones videogame, Alpine designed a never seen before special livery for Austin's Grand Prix. The details are insane, I could say they're even mindblowing. An ancient map and red travel routes are included in this design, as well as the Indiana Jones game title displayed on the car. I'll leave a picture below so you can see the details a bit better. Will we see more liveries before the weekend starts? Will there be more announcements? I guess we'll just have to wait and find out! Do you guys like these liveries? Which one's your favourite? Answer below! This article has come to an end, and I want to thank you as always for reading it. Make sure to follow me on instagram! (@aleinsidef1)

  • Heroo: the new F1 trophy for Austin's GP

F1 takes trophies to a whole new level: may I introduce you to "Heroo", Austin's Grand Prix trophy made by the italian artist Matteo Macchiavelli in collaboration with Pirelli. The vision behind the trophy was the fact that formula one drivers are always portrayed as heroes because of the high speeds they have to deal with every time they race, bringing us like this to this awesome creation that tries to illustrate the fact with this trophy. "It is an interpretation of the connection between the racing car and its tyres, while also being an artwork that links beauty and elegance with the excitement, sense of speed and quality of the materials that go into a Formula 1 car." - Pirelli Motorsport This trophy is very representative and you can clearly see how it takes the shape of a human form. With its arms up, raised in triumph, and its helmet, Heroo truly seems like a winning F1 driver! The coolest thing about Heroo might be the materials that were used to make it. Carbon fibre for the whole body and helmet, a rubber base for the Pirelli tyre. And then, for the helmets colours: golden yellow sprinkled in gold dust, silver and titanium. This won't be the last time we see Heroo: replicas will be produced in a limited production run for collectors and fans of collectible toys. What do you think of Heroo? Do you like him? Did you know the idea behind it? Thank you so much for reading this article, make sure to follow me on instagram! (@aleinsidef1)

  • What is F1 Academy? A detailed article with all you need to know!

If you heard of F1 Academy and you're wondering what it is, keep reading this article. I'll try to explain it in the most detailed way possible, and I'll make it understandable. But most of all I'll make sure you guys have fun while reading it! So, what's F1 Academy and why are girls racing in the motorsport world? F1 Academy is an all-female racing championship, founded by Formula one in 2023, with the aim of integrating young girls into the motorsport world. F1 academy is the second exclusive championship for women after the W Series. The series follows FIA F4 regulations. Susie Stoddart Wolff (Toto Wolff's wife and ex british driver) is the series' managing director. Last year's constructor championship (2023) was won by Prema Racing. But let's go into detail: who are the 2024 drivers? How many teams and drivers are there? What do we know about them? There are 15 drivers on the grid currently, and a supporting scuderia for each one of them. I'll leave a table below with all of the data and a picture of every driver! Driver's name Supporting scuderia Driver's nationality Scuderia's nationality Driver's picture Lola Lovinfosse Charlotte Tilbury French Unknown Abbi Pulling Alpine Academy English French Jessica Edgar F1 Academy English Unknown Emely De Heus Red Bull Dutch Unknown Hamda Al Qubaisi Oracle Red Bull Racing Emirati Austrian Amna Al Qubaisi Visa Cash App (RB) Emirati Italian Chloe Chambers Haas MoneyGram American American Carrie Schreiner Stake (Kick Sauber) German Swiss Nerea Martì Tommy Hilfiger Spanish Unknown Bianca Bustamante McLaren Filipino English Aurelia Nobels Puma Brazilian Unknown Maya Weug Ferrari Dutch Italian Doriane Pin Mercedes AMG Petronas French German Lia Block Williams Racing American English Tina Hausmann Aston Martin Swiss English In reality, the teams are five. The ones I wrote in the table are only the supporting brands or scuderie. Because this season, in 2024, every F1 team had to nominate one of their drivers to race for the championship. So, talking about the teams, we have: Prema racing ; with Tina Hausmann , Doriane Pin and Maya Weug. MP Motorsport ; with Emely De Heus , Hamda Al Qubaisi and Amna Al Qubaisi . Rodin Motorsport ; with Lola Lovinfosse , Abbi Pulling and Jessica Edgar . ART Grand Prix ; with Bianca Bustamante , Aurelia Nobels and Lia Block . Finally, Campos Racing ; with Chloe Chambers , Carrie Schreiner and Nerea Martì . That's all for today! Thank you for reading this. I hope you understood everything and that you guys liked this article. Let me know if I missed anything and if you want to read about something specific on this blog! • Introducing F1 tyres: a complete and easy guide for fans (@aleinsidef1)

Tyres are one of the most basic things you need to know about when you want to get inside the F1 world. In this article I'm going to be introducing you to the F1 tyres, trying to explain in the easiest way possible how they work and what they're used for. So, if you're a new fan, (or an old one!) and you're wondering which types of tyres there are, stay here with me and keep reading to find out! A bit of history: Pirelli and its origins Let's start right off by introducing the brand: Pirelli. As an italian, I know Pirelli all too well. But if you're from some other country, this name may sound odd. Pirelli is a multinational agency based in Italy, that operates in the automobolistic sector as a producer of tyres for cars, motorbikes and bycicles. The origins of Pirelli's activity date back to 1872, year in which Giovanni Battista Pirelli founded the society "G.B. Pirelli & C." in Milan, destined to the fabrication of elastic rubber articles. The production of car tyres began only in 1901. This brand is one of the main sponsors in F1, and it has been since 2011. Indeed, Pirelli were one of several companies to provide tyres at the start of the World Championship back in 1950, with a host of brands making appearances over the decades, during which time tyre technology has advanced as quickly as the cars. Unlike some previous eras, where multiple tyre manufacturers competed against each other and created what was known as a ‘tyre war’, Pirelli are now F1’s sole, exclusive supplier, with an agreement running through the end of the 2024 campaign. If you want to read and know more about Pirelli and their story, I suggest looking at their website. (Here: https://www.pirelli.com/global/en-ww/homepage/ ) But now, let's start naming the tyres and let's see them up close. Ready to dive into the F1 world? All the F1 tyres that are being used this year SOFT TYRES: with their red colour, the soft tyres represent the fastest rubber. But they're most likely to wear out before the harder compounds do. In other words, the soft tyre provides the most grip but isn't durable. MEDIUM TYRES: the medium tyres are yellow. It's a compromise compound. Usually, it's slower than the softs but faster than the hards. It should last longer than the softs, and not as long as the hards. So, as you can see, the medium tyres have a vaste variety. HARD TYRES: White is their colour. The hard tyre will last the longest but isn't as grippy as the soft one. They provide the least grip , but they're supposed to remain in working order the longest. Made from the hardest compound, they offer the longest lifespan, making them ideal for long stints, high temperatures, or abrasive track surfaces where tyre wear is a significant concern. INTERMEDIATE TYRES: Green ones. (This tyre is my personal favourite!) The intermediates are the most versatile of the rain tyres . They can be used on a wet track with no standing water, as well as a drying surface. The compound has been designed to have a wide working range, guaranteeing a wide crossover window both with the slicks and the full wets. WET TYRES: Blue is the colour for wet tyres. Currently, F1 rain tyres have a larger diameter than dry tyres, with the wets having a diameter of 10mm more than the slicks . This increases the ride height of the car and makes it less vulnerable to aquaplaning. Sometimes rain tyres are designed to have a smaller diameter than their dry counterparts. The full wet tyres are the most effective solution for heavy rain . The F1 tyres are coded from C1 (the hardest) to C5 (the softest). Back in 2007, FIA introduced the single-tyre supplier rule   to prevent competition between suppliers opting for maximum performance over safety and to keep costs down . As you can clearly see from this picture, the F1 tyres constantly change. Brand new for 2018 was a tyre that sits below the ultrasoft: an even softer compound called P Zero hypersoft, which was coloured pink, and it was the softest Formula 1 tire that Pirelli has ever made. This new compound was suitable for circuits where maximum mechanical grip is required, such as Monaco. Also new for 2018 was the hard compound, which was coloured ice blue, whilst the superhard, was orange. In total, there were seven slick P Zero compounds, which together with the new Cinturato intermediates and wets expanded the 2018 range to nine options. Thank you so much for reading this article!
